SITUATIONAL REPORT ON COVID-19 PANDEMIC (24th -26th April 2022)

Samoa’s Ministry of Health confirmed 644 community cases in the last 48 hours commencing from 2pm of
24 th April, to 2pm 26th April, 2022. This brings the total number of confirmed community cases to 8,923.
There are 19 patients currently in managed isolation and one (1) in ICU at Moto’otua Hospital. COVID-19
cases at Port of Entry (POE) total 72 including one (1) new positive border cases confirmed in the last 48
hours.
The public is reminded to remain vigilant and adhere to public health advice such as wearing face masks,
maintaining social distance in public places, and ensure personal hygiene at all times. Those who are feeling
unwell are strongly advised to stay home and isolate to keep your families and loved ones safe.
Vaccination remains our best defense against COVID-19. The national vaccination roll out continues to date.
