The Government Press Secretariat is responsible for
- Providing information on Government affairs to the Media and the public
- Acting as a Directory for government ministries for overseas and local people
- Sending out weekly Press Releases on issues approved by the Cabinet and updating the official Government website
- Advising the Prime Minister on all aspects of media relations
