strategic plans for capacity building and addressing priority issues. This annual process requires associations to
submit the necessary documents for review.
After a thorough evaluation, only two out of five applicants were able to meet all requirements for the grant and
approved by the Cabinet. The successful recipients for this year are the Samoa Nurses Association and the Samoa
Medical Association.
The Minister for the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Labour, Honourable Leota Laki Lamositele, stated, “Your
dedication and hard work have been recognized, and we are proud to support your efforts in improving healthcare
and supporting our communities.”
For the associations that were not considered for this round, he encouraged, “We urge you to ensure all required
documents are submitted for future applications. We look forward to seeing the positive impact these grants will have
on your organizations and our economy.”
