Samoa Airways responds to the Misleading Observer Article.
Samoa Airways would like to clarify that the outstanding financials
referred to in the Observer article of 27 September is the Company’s
Annual Report for 2019/2020. Due to staff layoffs since March 2020, Samoa
Airways has been unable to complete these reports.
We confirm that these financial Reports will be submitted by end of
October to Ministry of Public Enterprises.
We would also like to further clarify that Samoa Airways has been
operating since March 2020 with only 15% of its staff working full time on
50% of their salaries.
The Airline continues to work closely with the Ministry of Public
Enterprise to complete and submit these reports for the Public.
